Rumour: Swastika symbol to feature in 'The Lost symbol'?

Rumours have been circulating about the contents of 'The Lost Symbol'. One of these is that it may feature the Swastika. An indicator for this is that the date of publication (September the 15th) co-incides with the date the Nazis adopted the Swastika as the national flag of Germany, along with the Nuremburg Laws.

The history of the Swastika certainly is interesting an interesting one full of mysticism and intrigue. It has been used in ancient eastern and western societies and religions. The symbol clearly had a rich and full history before it's adoption by the Nazis in Germany, which in itself is quite interesting:

The first time the swastika was used with an "Aryan" meaning was on December 25, 1907, when the self-named Order of the New Templars, a secret society founded by [Adolf Joseph] Lanz von Liebenfels, hoisted at Werfenstein Castle (Austria) a yellow flag with a swastika and four fleurs-de-lys.[46]

The symbol clearly has enough mystery around it to be good material for the new book. It also fits in with the rumours that it will involve Freemasonary. It's a little known fact that Hitler Nazis regime also persecuted Freemasons becuase they were implicated in an international plot in "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion".

We'll keep you updated on any new ideas and revelations as they arrive.
